I wanted to wait to say this a lot later, but I figured I withheld the information from you long enough; and, I was kind of anticipating how much I'd have to type up just to tell you guys this, so I wanted to get all this out of the way, that way it won't lurk in the back of my mind so much. A couple weeks ago, my computer's motherboard died for some random reason. In fact, I'm using my sister's desktop computer to write this.
If you understand how computers work, or at least their inner components, you should know that if your motherboard dies, you're gonna lose pretty much everything. This is a HUGE problem, obviously. Do you have any idea how much artwork I'm gonna lose? I'm gonna lose almost everything I have saved on my hard drives. I had so many works in progress, and so many things to busy myself with, and now I'm going to lose almost all of it.
The only reason why I'm not going to lose absolutely everything is because my dad is hooking up my hard drives to his computer and using a program to extract as many files as it can. The reason why it can't save EVERYTHING on the hard drive is because some of the files unfortunately become unreadable.
Going through ALL the image files (jpeg, png, bmp especially) is complicated because whenever you click an icon scripted to play something or other, and other similar things, the icon will get saved onto your hard drive. So, you'll pretty much have hundreds, possibly thousands of those icons on your hard drive and you wouldn't really even know it, unless of course you already know that this happens (most people don't). Anyway, my point is that that's a lot of crap to go through, especially since a good deal of it isn't even readable anymore.
Anyways, losing all my music doesn't concern me. I can just re-download all that again, as I did for most of it when my dad finished my new computer back in March. Losing almost all my pictures, surprisingly enough, doesn't stress me out either. The only things that distress me a bit are losing my documents (written stuff) and my works in progress (and my game screenshots). It seems though that my dad can easily save most of my written documents, so that's good. But, my WIP art files are all unreadable so far.
This should be REALLY stressing me out, as I expected it to, but believe it or not, I'm not really upset at all. Guess I'm just fortunate to have been given a type B personality and a nice, calm demeanor. At least I'll get a completely fresh start, right? Always try to look on the bright side? I really just hope I can get my most important WIP art files back and working. The completed ones don't matter to me (even though I wanted to edit some of my finished works), but obviously the WIPs do immensely.
Guess I might close off here. I really just wanted to let you guys know why there hasn't been much activity on my end lately. I also wanted to let you know that this causes a major hindrance for my art plans. Sure, I can still draw on paper, but doing that makes it take MUCH longer to finish the work. However, I guess it's my only option at the moment.

Congratulations on your triumph over the big desert cockroach. I just use alcohol in a spray bottle and drench them. It kills most insects quite quickly as long as you get them good and wet with it. Not nearly so harmful to you.
